Services / Naming
A name worth putting your name behind.
Naming for companies, brands, products + TV shows. A considered shortlist, with a reason for every option.
I approach naming through audience, language and creative direction. Each brief starts with one question: what should the name make people think or feel?
More than a list of clever words.
A name should make your idea easier to understand and remember.
We agree on the audience, tone and constraints. You receive a shortlist with a clear reason for each option.
What you can hire me to name.
Business + entertainment
Companies, brands, individual products, services and programs. TV shows and other creative projects that need a title with a clear point of view.
$1,500–$3,000 for one naming assignment
- Briefing and competitor or title review
- 5–10 candidates with rationale
- Basic web and domain availability checks
- One round of refinement
Covers one business, brand, product or title. Naming systems and more complex research are quoted separately.
Personal naming
For a personal naming decision that deserves individual attention. Tell me what you are naming, what matters to you and any constraints.
$250–$500
- Intake to understand the brief
- 5–10 considered options with rationale
- One round of refinement
The fee reflects the agreed research and number of options. Scope and delivery date are confirmed before work starts.
Language that gives an idea a point of view.
For 19th & Park, I developed “All Genius. No Cap.” as the agency’s campaign idea and tagline. It is a campaign-language example, not a company-naming project: a way to see how I connect words, audience and creative intent.

What needs a name, who it is for, where it will be used, examples you like or dislike, required words or associations, and the launch date. If you already have a shortlist, tell me whether you want feedback or new candidates.
For feedback on existing options, a 45-minute Creative Consultation is $250. New name development is a separate assignment.
Before you choose a name.
Does the fee include trademark clearance?
No. Basic web and domain checks are an early screen, not a legal clearance. Trademark searches, legal advice, filings and final approval belong with an appropriate legal specialist before you commit to a name.
Will you buy the domain?
Domain purchases are separate. Availability can change, and a name being available as a domain does not establish the right to use it as a trademark.
What if the brief changes?
One round of refinement is included within the agreed brief. A different audience, product or naming direction may need a revised scope before further work begins.
Can you help with the broader brand story?
Yes. If the naming problem comes from uncertainty about your audience or offer, brand strategy may be the better starting point.
